Problem with my favorite Yellow Eye

I noticed this monrning that my yellow eye is only breathing out of one gill. One gill looks completely closed with a little mucus coming out. Any ideas??

Very strange - for two days he seemed to not use one of his gills. But seems to be doing fine now. He does like to get cleaned by the cleaner shrimp. Looks like it took care of itself. Thanks!

I had a niger trigger that used to love laying on his side and let the hermits clean and scratch him. He would end up with some of the strangest looking things that scared me at first that it could be disease of some sort. Then realized he was just getting abrasions from the crabs. Hmmm, my trigger would get the crabs, that sounds strange.

Doesn't mean that your fish doesn't have something though.
