Yesterday I order a CSL 32 watt Smartlite, a new pump, and some underwater glue.

My plans are to fix the divider with some acrylic and the underwater glue, then remove the existing pump, because I want a little more flow and lately it has started making crazy sounds.

Then I hope to "easily" remove the existing 24 watt PC lamp and replace with the 32 retro. Should get to it when it comes in I will post pics.

Cool - I am looking ot add a second light to mine - thinking of adding a 13w blue pc since I have it sitting around.

Have you figured out how to take the **** hood off?

Also I took out that little via aqua pump they supplied and put a rio instead - still not getting enough surface agitation though - bought a piccolo skimmer from AA but cant figure out any way to install it in back without cutting hood and skimmer going through hood.

I ordered a JBJ Nanocube last Thursday from an outlet in Denver. It arrived yesterday....shattered  . The store had hoped this particular system could handle rough shipping conditions, but after my call, the manager there said he was pulling the item off of their website because "3 out of 5 units shipped were broken when they arrived".

I've been very excited about getting the cube....and I'm willing to start over, but now I'm kind of wondering....with all the "repairing" and retrofitting y'all are doing on your cubes, is this the best nano unit for the size/price?

Just curious.

It is an awesome unit. I just think it could have more lighting for a different variety of corals. Yea I was pretty disappointed about the divider thing, I was wondering about it becuase with it all at the same level it is pretty stagnant. Otherwise awesome unit. I wish they made a bigger one around 20-30 gallons.

Yea I'm still waiting on my drs foster smith order, they are beginning to **** me off.

Hey MikeP
check this out, came across it the other day

This guy put in a 32 watt smartlite with relative ease. Also shows how to take the hood off.
Hey also wondering when a good time to grab those zoos.

Cool - I'll check that out on the JBJ mod. I am trying to figure something out on the sump too - tired of film on waters surface.

You can stop by sometime mon-tues-or wed next week if you want to pick up those zoos just give me a ring first. I have to be in court monday early afternoon but rest of day is ok.

Awesome, my order came in today. I went ahead and installed the light, used the reflector that came with it and also had to cut the existing one. The only bad thing i see about this is i cna't get it back to factory, but oh well.

One downside I see is the 32 watt is towards the back, and since it is brighter, put akward flow of lighting, mor ein background than foreground, but I will get used to it. Sucks becuase most corals are in front/middle, so i hope they still get light.

I'm buying a fan and voltage converter tomorrow. Will run continous when I get that.

I will post pics tomorrow after completion.
