I'm looking for general advice on purchasing an RO/DI unit. Anything I should look out for? How does our hard tap water affect these systems? How about this 6-stage on Ebay for around $100:

I got one from e-bay. it was a little over $100.
75gpd RO/Di it came with a tank and faucet. I am very happy.

I saw a 5 stage RO unit @ Sam's Club for $100 bucks, not a bad deal. Then I started reading the manual trying to find how meny GPB. Their it was in small text on the bottom of the back page. 3GPD Wow that would not even fill the tank in a day. that thing must have been a piece of crap.

I got one from this company and I believe it is worth the $259 you would find in their home page. I have this unit and I feel it has made a world of difference in my current set up. If interested I can answer any other questions over this company and this product.

I get most of my water at the HEB stations. I did have some algae problems for a few months, but it eventually cleared up and haven't had any since. I'm looking for a unit mainly for convienence, and I'd prefer using RO/DI all the time.

Thanks for the input everyone!
