Hello All. I am back and happy to announce that MARSH will be holding their October meeting on Saturday the 4th of October at Aquatic Designs in Houston. Those of you that came last time, will remember where it is. The meeting is from 11:00am until 1:00pm, and then some of us will be making the rounds of some of our good local fish stores in the area.
I hope that many of you can make it, and I hope to see some familiar faces along with new ones at the meeting.
Oh, and by the way :) our speaker will be Eric Borneman, author of "Aquarium Corals" and noted reefkeeper. He will be presenting about "Common Myths in Reefkeeping." I believe we will also be making up a large batch of Eric's Famous Fish and Coral food.
I hope to see you all there.

I hope that there is interest from the MAAST Membership in this meeting. I would like to get a "show of hands" of who is coming to the MARSH Meeting in Hosuton.
I assure you that it will be a great meeting with a wonderful presentation. Eric is a terrific pseaker and all of his talks are extremely informative. We will be making up some of his famous fish food, and he will be giving a great presentation on Aquarium Myths which will be very helpful to both newbies and veterans alike.
I hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks

Jim - I'd love to attend unfortunately it's really really hard to get days off since I do contract work. I can't imagine no one else is interested either!

Saturdays are my little girl's piano or T-Ball days here. I would love to make it up to one of the meetings eventually, but....

I hate to hear that many of you cannot make it. This would be a great opportunity to meet Eric Borneman. For those that still don't know who he is, he moderates the Coral Forum on Reef Central.
I know that this may be difficult for some of you to make it to, but it will be well worth it if you can. Even if you cannot make it, tell some of your friends in MAAST that may not know about it. Eric's talks are always incredible and instructive. He will definitely open your eyes about his topic on "Aquarium Myths."

For those of you who did not attend the MARSH meeting or have not been keeping up with us, I just wanted to tell you about our meeting.
We missed you. We had a great time, and learned a lot. Eric Borneman discussed, in depth, his fish food formula, and we made up about 10-12 lbs of the food which we sold after the meeting. The food is incredible. I have been amazed at the enthusiasm of the fish, and the liveliness of the corals since the introduction of this food. It is terrific.
Eric also did a question and answer session for about 45 minutes and we discussed everything from moonlighting, to filtration, to coral specifics, to the contents of his system.
Unfortunately we did not have a projector so he was unable to give his "...Myths..." presentation, but I hope to have him back in the near future to do that.
Overall it was a great day, and a terrific meeting. We had visitors from as far away as Dallas for the meeting, and we are therefore looking forward to more weekend meetings in the future.
I am sorry that most of you could not make it, but hopefully next time you will be able to.
