How about we pick a topic and a night of the week and a time and have online discussions in our oh so quiet chat room

LOL I think that was the original plan for it, but never quite got going. I think if there is a set day of the week and time in the evening it might work. Might have to rotate times different weeks to allow for different people's schedules. Always good to talk with other people. I think Alamo Aquatics has a biweekly meeting just to discuss things and I know we have a much better group than their people as one of their employees once stated he had nothing more to learn about this hobby! Yeah right!

The chat room also is a great tool as some of our members are in outlying areas and can't always make it in to meetings.

I agree with this view because I live in Brownsville and up to now I have not been able to make it to one of the meetings. Also, I feel this would be a great way to meet many of you plus cause some times I am just waiting to see who just answered my post to semy chat with them through PMs.

Originally we had setup wed. as the chat day. Which lasted a for about two weeks. I was nice to see people drop by the chat line and bring in some much needed knowledge.
I've also gone to a couple of the meeting that alamo had. The meeting were pretty relaxed, food and discussion. If any would be interested in something like that, we could do impromptu meetings for drinks and some discussions or something like that.

That place is now called the Babcock Bar, but it still has the aquariums in there.

The Austin folks should meet up @ the Aquarium on 6th. I know that it gets busy sometimes. We could always try to meet up on a Sunday evening.

The only bummer is that the aquarium is a FW chilid tank.
