Just doing some searching around here and it doesnt seem like very many people know about us. Just wanted to say hey and invite everyone to come check us out if you havent already. Most people probably dont know we are there because it just looks so small from the highway, but Im sure you will be surprised when you walk in. Just added 8 x 45 gal tanks to our salt selection(950 gal total) if you havent been in in a while. We have a good selection of used tanks and accessories as well. OH..and almost forgot the Dive Shack in the back for all of the scuba divers and snorkelers out there.
Hope to be seeing yall :)
Michael
Almost forgot the directions :o
We're just south of NB right next to the Snake Farm on I35.
North bound from SA take the Engel Rd Exit (#182), turn left under overpass, then right on access road. Were right after the Snake Farm on your left.
South bound from Austin take the Solms Rd Exit (#183), pass Solms Rd, well be right before the southbound #182 exit.
Our sign just got knocked down by the storm a couple of weeks ago so look close...:)

Welcome Michael,
What are your hours? I drive through there every so often and am stationed at RAFB so maybe a lunch time trip would be nice.

Hi Michael - you know, driving up I35now I have seen this place twice and wanted to stop in twice - just seemed so odd having a fish store on the side of the highway!!!! Thought maybe it was a mob front or something :) I will definitely stop in there in the next couple of weeks.

Right now we dont really have any SPS or more "expert corals" I guess you could call them becuase we dont really have a demand for them. Im sure if we could get somemore people in looking for them we would try to keep some in stock. We can special order anything you want tho. We do have some sponges, shrooms, polyps, bubbles, moon coral, torch, and a bunch of other random corals. As far as fish, I think we have a pretty good selection (foxface, remora, powder blue tang, purple tang, maroon and ocellaris clowns, etc). We do do certifications but I would have to check on prices and when the next class would start.
Our hours are Tues-Fri(12-7) and Sat(10-7)
I hope to see a lot of yall stop by.

Josh - when are you going by? It doesn't take long to get there from where I live. If you want to cruise up there this weekend, I'll check it out with you.

Michael, would you guys be interested in giving any discounts for card-carrying MAAST members?
Ill talk to Darby about that and see what we could do.

HAHA....He's talking about Moby. Hes our Redtail Catfish that weighs about 40 lbs and has been at the store for over 20 yrs. Youll definetly have to check him out too.
We have a meeting on Sunday and I think it's at Misti's house. We could head over there before that.
Sorry....closed Sundays :(

imo the only thing i didnt like about darbys was the live rock cost waaaaaaaaay to much but other than that it was pretty cool, last time i went by was on the way home from waco and i saw this huge freaking moray

Yea, the moray, "Precious" is the coolest. I have stopped by quite a bit over the past years, and they always have a great selection. Darby and Robert are great to talk with as well...they have taught me a lot. The prices are a little higher, but hell, what part of NB isn't more expensive.

Our live rock runs 5.99/lb from our tanks. But if you want to order in large quantities, right from the box, as long as it doesnt go in our tanks its 3.00/lb. I dont think you can beat that deal anywhere.
Unfortunatly Precious died about a month ago. During a thunderstorm one night she destroyed her tank and ended up on the floor. :(
