Has anyone ever shopped here? They have this 25% off special on Thurs. when they get their shipment in - straight from the bag. Prices sound real good, but wondering about quality.
Thanks,
Jenn

Not bad for fresh water fish, but haven't liked their saltwater selection. And I don't care for the tiny shoebox like containers they keep the saltwater fish in.
The fresh water fish that I have gotten from there in the past have lived long.

I got my tang, a cleaner shrimp, firefish, and a blue star from them. All were straight from the bag. They usually have a decent selection on thursdays including some rare-ish stuff(for a LFS), but it usually clears out pretty fast due to the bag sale. They are also about the cheapest LFS for sand that I've seen. 17.99 for a 30lb bag of carib sea sugar size, but they they only get like 2bags at a time. Also, everyone seems extremely friendly and fairly knowledgeable too.

I've bought from them before, and prefer to get the stuff before they put into their tanks. Their shipment used to get to the store right around 11:00 so you have to be there when it first gets their to get the good stuff.

When I first started in this hobby, I got excited about the 25% off deal on Thursdays and bought a flame angel there to add to my tank. Within 48 hrs, all the fish in my tank were sick and died shortly thereafter. It was a real lesson. Now, if you're planning on quarantining any fish you buy there for a few weeks, I think you'd be fine, but it's very risky to place a newly caught fish directly in your reef.

Thats where I got my Hippo tang, yellow tang, lawnmower blennie(he is huge for only $7), and some cleaner shrimp. I also purchased my first two tanks from them. They gave me some pretty good discounts since I tend to drop by there pretty often. Especially for their freshwater fish.
