Matt came over the house on Sunday and brought with him his DIY calcium reactor.
IMO this is the finest unit I have ever seen! The quality is unbelievable!
Matt truly has a talent for making this product. I am going to hook it up and test it out!
We compared My Reef Creation dual system to his a what a differance between the two. (by the way I am not using this unit it is just collecting dust).
Matt's next project is a skimmer.

Matt is just another reason this club is so GREAT!
Thanks,
Jim

Pics? Were there some on another post?

Keep us updated. I would like to see it running.

Thanks, Jim. I'm having fun learning about building these things. I hope the reactor works as well on your great system as the smaller one is working on my 100 gal. As far as pictures go, I don't have a digital camera, but Jim is welcome to post one. I'll try to bring a skimmer to the next meeting; it's about 1/2 complete but I have to do some other non-reef related stuff before I can finish it.

Matt,
Are you taking Fergie's skimmer class? This is my first class w/ MACO and I am very happy.
I am making a 30" skimmer, but will wait to start on it untill after the class is over. I am usually a little better @ building stuff if I can read the directions from start to finish a few times before starting.

This is a pic of what the finished skimmer should look like.

Now all I need to do is upgrade my tank so I have something to use it with. ;)

Yeah, I'm taking the skimmer class, and I took the calcium reactor class. Fergy's really a good teacher, but this class has been frustrating because it's months late. I'm sure you'll be happy with the skimmer. The reactor that Jim's trying out is almost a copy of the one I made in the MACO class; just a few plumbing differences.
