Hey all, I am trying to swap over tanks to a new drilled 18g nano and I need an internal corner overflow built for it. Could anyone build me something like this?

Name a price and lets go for it! Thanks so much!

Does it have to be black? I have a couple of clear pre-skimmer boxes that I could configure one out of, and Im local. lemmee know the dimentions.

Jim, Honestly it can be any color for all I care. I was thinking about 4" X 2" does that sound about normal? the tank has the same footprint as a 10 gallon tank so I am just trying to conserve some space by doing the upper corner.
Thanks!

Dustin,
4x4 might be better depending on what pump youre planning on using, regardless, If youd like to bring me the one you have, I can use it as a template and modify it to your specs. lemmee know.

In fact, after reviewing the picture, one of the boxes I have might just foot the bill perfectly without any modifications.

Hi;
I'd suggest using black; you'll have less algae build up. Also, in the picture, the notches are really far apart. When you get a new one, think about cutting them closer together like a typical overflow. In my drilled 10 gal, I think the overflow is 3" X 3", goes down to the bottom of the tank. It's a PITA to get the bulkhead in/out. This looks like a better set-up, as long as there's some drop for the drain.

I too would suggest using black. I made one out of clear acrylic and regret it. I have to constantly remove algae from the overflow. I have a small powerhead in the overflow that pumps water into a hob 'fuge.

Hey everyone, The picture that I posted is not one that I have built. I got the pictures from wetdryfilters.com they want an insane amount of $$$ for one and I am not into spending that much $$ on it. Thanks again for all the help!

I dont blame ya, they want $25.00 for a 5oz. tube of Weldon #16. They are <$8.00 from Interstate Plastics in Austin.

I just bought a 180g setup from Tropical Fish Haven in Corpus. Jerry did a beautiful job. He's been doing acrylic work with aquariums for 25 years, previously in Tampa. He moved to Corpus with his acrylic shop a few years ago and is part owner of Tropical Fish Haven. I'm hosting their web site (http://tropicalfishhaven.com/ which has their phone number on it. Jerry has an amazing array of custom and hard to find acrylic parts in his shop. If you need something out of the ordinary, I'm sure he can build it or find it for you and he's pretty close.
The point of all of that was to let you know there's an acrylic expert right in our backyard. I'll try to get some pics of my tank online. I really love the 32 gallon fresh water reservoir.
