need holes in your tank??

I wanna let you guys know that I found a great place in town to get your tanks drilled, Thad Ziegler Glass at 5420 Grissom Road. 522-9035. The manager (Eric) and glass guy (julio) both were very helpful and cautious when drilling my 7 gallon minibow, below are attached pics. For the 2 holes I had drilled and a custom glass top to fit my minibow cost me $23.91..you can't beat that price. I told them about our group and they would love to see you guys in there and theyre willing to try most anything you may need, but remember as with most places they are not responsible for any cracked/broken glass. Hope you all will utilize this place so you dont have to pay $20 to $25 dollars at LFS.

They cut you a custom curved glass lid for your bowfront? If you're going to use HQI over that, you might want to get tempered glass for your lid.

the pendant is not going to be right on top of it... a few inches above the glass, I just dont want that much evaporation. remember the air is dry there all the moisture will leave my tank...lol. And being el paso and its 110 degree heat I will always have the AC blasting.

Am I seeing things or is the screen above the top of the tank? It looks like the return is lower in the water, maybe you should switch the two.

I don't mess with drilling peoples tanks but I think $20 - 25 is reasonable IMO...of course there is always a cheaper way to do things if you look hard enough.

In fact beating that price is easy and so is drilling glass...

All you need is a garden hose, hand drill, peice of wood with a V notch cut out, and some patience. Most bits will due 15 to 30 holes.
