Im trying to get my 7 gallon minibow squared away before I can get home next week so its all set up to go as soon as I get home and I can put few things in that im gonna keep from my bigger tank. I wanna drill it and put a 1/2 inch slipbulkhead fitting on it (what else would I need besides this?? plumbing wise...such as elbows??) . Does anyone know how much flow this will generate into the fuge and also is there anyone that has evered drilled a 7 gallon minibow?? the fuge will sit right behind the tank and be a 2.5 gallon with 2x13 PC. thanks

I don't have any experience drilling the 7G bowfront tank but i've seen it done over at nano-reef.com.

The 1/2" bulkhead should give you room for a max GPH through it of aroung 500GPH I believe. Since it's a refuge you won't want that much flow though.

Plumbing can be a very creative process, you probably only need 2 elbows at the most though. 1 pointing down to bring the flow in the fuge, and another to bring the flow up and over back into the 7G tank.

Alamo should be able to get it drilled for you. I think its 20 or 25 a hole. You might want to call thad ziegler to see if they will drill it for you. They were going to do mine, but didn't have a bit large enough. As for the plumbing, that depends on where you drill your hole on the tank. If you drill the back, and toward the top you might need to use an elbow in the tank to set the water height in the tank and use that to help skim the surface.
