Any body see any small 2 to 3 inches Foxface Rabbitfish around Austin?
My corner tank has been up since about April. I don't have any snails nor filtration to clean my tank (other then the LR.) My clown is dumb and slow to eat the food I've been feeding it. I started to see hair algae cropping up on the glass last week. I need to take care of the problem b4 it spread to the LR.

I actually see small ones pretty regularly down at aqudome. Haven't been there this week to know if there is one right now though. I may drop by tomorrow on way home from work, if I do, I'll let you know

Vinh, Aquadome or maybe partners in RR. I have seen smallish foxfaces at both recently - I think the owner ofAquadome is out of town - the fish selection was pretty sparse when I was down there last week.

Thanks!
I was there last Saturday too. The snowflake eel that they have looks very tempting for my 40 gallons tank.

Thanks, but the only fish store I know of in SA is AQSS & Petco. I'm not very familiar with SA.

Vinh, it's off Bandera before you get to 410 if you are coming from 1604. The easiest way for you to come is come down 1604 till you hit bandera, exit bandera and take a left on bandera (go underneath the bridge) and go down for a few miles. It will be on your right hand side.
The one's I saw were more like 3-4" but they always get fish in.

Thanks, I'm trying to get small fish so they don't poop as much. Not to mention they might be cheaper. LOL

It can be a hit and miss, but they are known bubble algae eater. They're very gentle fish to everyone in the tank. But they like to stick their spine out when they're frightened, or when they want to break during swimming. I use to point my finger at my Foxface real quick from outside the tank, and he would stick his spine out.

I have has 2 of these fish and they are great. They do not bother any other fish and havent gone after anything. I guess if you reached for them you may have problems, but other than that... They are great.
