I also saw those and if you go on ebay he sells them cheaper and also he just sells the float switch itself for 5.99. All I was wonder was what the black junction is and where I could get one if I just got the float swtich.

Looks like it's a relay. Your could probally get one from Radio Shack.

yeah, its a relay....

You could make one of these pretty easily but you'll probably pay like $5 for a relay and what, $2 or so for an extention cord, plus $6 for the switch, not to mention gas/time running to radio shack and assembling it......I think it would be almost as cheap/easy to just buy the whole thing for 13.00shipped off of ebay.

I may try one of these out rather than buying an expensive dosing pump for top offs. Only thing I see that I may modify is getting rid of that suction cup (I can see overflow already with that).
I'll post an update on how well it works out unless anybody has prior experience with it.

Yeah it would seem cheaper and easier if you just get the completed one on ebay, but if you were going to get 3 or more I think it woulded be cheaper because you really don;t need a relay. Can someone tell me something that I have not thought off with not having a relay on the switch.

Yeah i have been on ebay and search for cheap dosing pumps and I still can;t find one. Yeah you can probably make a little hang on back out of acrylic and have it even with the tank and then have a siphon linked to it so that when the level of the main tank goes down, the siphon will also bring the hang on back down. The float switch will be attached well better yet superglued to the HOB. So you don;t have to see the float switch in the display tank. This is what I am planning on doing with the switch. Can anyone see anything bad with this set up?
