Has anyone had any experience w/ the Eheim 2227???

I'm wanting to get an external filter to not only filter water but also attach to my spray bar...

I have a 55gallon reef w/corals and fish...

Is this too much of a system??? Is this a good system??? What's a good price range if it is??? I've seen it as low as $140...

Thanks... DJ...

I run a 2227 on a 55 and have no complaints about it... 140 is pretty good for it, tx trop has it for 189.99 (if I remember right) dont know about anyone else's price. If you do get it just make sure your air line is secured to the tank mine fell off and when the power went out it drained half of my tank out that was my mistake though. I use the eheim subtrat with it along with bio chem stars and kent nitrate sponge...all the parameters are perfect with it and when the "dry" part of the canister purges it shoots the water out alot guicker...my poor man's surge device.

I use it on my 75 gallon reef. I don't have anything in it, I use a refug/sump, but it still makes a great surge device.
