Ok I have put in my RO System and I have a few questions.....

I olny have a three gallon storage tank on the RO and I was wondering what the best way to store the water is until I get enough water to fill my tank and I would also like to know if any of you rinse your southdown and if you do how do you do it?.......

TIA,
Misty

Hey Misty,

You could remove the tube that connects the RO unit to the storage tank and instead use a larger tub or container.

I prefer not to rinse my southdown sand, but doing so won't hurt things. Either way, definately sift through it to check for miscellaneous rocks, etc.. that you might find and not want in there. ;)

You can get extra tubing from HD in the icemaker section. You need to get some T and some micro ball valve too. http://www.aquaticreefsystems.com/dm_fittings.htm
