I am having trouble finding a 75g RR all- glass aquarium. Every lfs that I contact ( listed by the AGA website as a retailer) does not actually carry them and has no idea that AGA even makes a RR. My question is this, does anyone know of a place where I can get this tank or even order it? The only place I have found so far is in NY and that seems a bit far to go for a tank

Why does it have to be AGA? Charley was running a smoking deal on Oceanics, I believe, for like $1 over invoice. He may still make you a good deal on one. It is Austin Aquarium, in Austin, of course.

I probably will have to go with the oceanic since that is all that is around. I was trying to get the AGA and save a little $$ that I could put into the skimmer, lighting etc. Seems to be about a $200.00 difference on the price of the tanks and not much difference on function.

At least you got a laugh. I didn't even get a response back....LOL.... So I became an AAABM dealer. All Acrylic Aquarium by Bill Mahaffey.

Just go to any LFS around here and you will find Aqua Trend tanks. The clam tank that was raffled at the one meeting by Jim was from there. They are supposed to be located somewhere here in S.A. I went to the address listed in the phone book, but couldn't find them.

Josh - you should become a dealer, maybe see what their prices are.

CAC - I think the AGA tanks just have overflow kits that are added to them when they are ordered, not built standard like Oceanic tanks. You can't go wrong with an Oceanic tank. If money is a big factor right now, keep an eye out for a used tank and when you upgrade as we all do, you can go for the brand new tank then. You can always find cheap deals on used tanks, just check the classifieds in the newspaper.

I had Jim order me a 100 gallon from aquatrend.

The prices are appx.
75...125
90...180
100..190

Better double check with Jim on the prices, those were off the top of my head, and there's always a chance things change

My 100G with 4 holes drilled came to 233.xx with tax and delivery to Jims shop....cs

A friend of mine has an account was aqua trends. Their shop is located at the address listed in the phone book, its really just a shop and no store front. You actually have to enter the building thru an alley. Its pretty cool, I had them drill my sump for me. They are also going to reseal my tank once I take it to them, hopefully soon. If you intersted in a tank let me know the size and I can try to get you a price.

Cac,

Although I do not have an all-glass RR tank in the store, I can get them. The only AG I have in right now is a 38g in black. Please give me a call at the store, as I do not have Internet access there.

Chad, I checked out your site and that 44 gallon corner hex tank looks sweet! What kind of equipment do you have in there?

Well,

All that on there right now is a Bak Pak and two powersweeps for circulation. Lighting is a Hamilton 400Watt ballast with the Pre XM 20K's from Hellolights with two 18" powerglows to kill some blueness(the pics are with a Hamilton 10K with two marine glows for actinics).

I need to take some new shots, with the diff. lights and the frags I've added a while ago.....(Thanks Troy)

Tank should be for sale in a couple weeks BTW ;)

Oh, and not that it matters, but its a Pentagon not Hex :scold:

Oh, forgot to mention, the canopy is pretty much open on top except a bar that runs down the middle that holds the lights and reflector, and there is a fan on one side that blows down on to the water. Temps will go over 86 with out the fan, but stay around 78-80 with the fan on low.

Henry,

Could you see if Aqua Trend has a tank that is about 24"x24"X30" tall and what the price is.
