Hey...
Has anyone tried raising Acro's under fluorescent lamps???
I have 330w on my 55g tank... so about 6watts/gallon...
Any suggestions??? My wife really liked the acro's at SeaWorld...

No but If you put them at the top right under Actinic whites and actinics they should keep the color. Did you use Aqua suns? I didn't have as good a result with the Aqua suns as I would have liked so I switched to actinic whites. The tank looks better. Although the aquasuns grew hair algea very nice.

don't do it. i tried to do it, and ended up setting up an additional tank with an hqi mh. the purple stylo recovered quickly, but the white acro suffered terribly. they where high up in the water column centered under 165w pc.

I have a few sps that do well but they arent as colorfull as they would be in a MH tank. After losing my 1 acro sp to agression I am going to stick to montiporas. My M cap looks great in my tank kinda red/brown/purplish w/ a white/pink rim. My M digitata is a dark orange and I have another thatis brown purple w/ purplish tips. Notice a pattern? Not that im complaining I accepted the fact that they will be brownish before I got them as frags. I wouldnt speand alot of $$ on a fancy colony though..
Oh I run 200W PC, 300W VHO.
