Went to turn my MH balast off tonight, and it started to spark pop and smoke when I pushed in the switch. I grabed the plug and pulled it out of the outlet, and it stopped. When it cooled down, I took it apart and found that the wire for the switch came out of the switch, and was arcing to the case. I rewired it bypassing the switch, and fired it up, and the bulb fired, so thats a good thing, now I just have to get a new switch. This is good though, cuase i've been wanting to sand down and repaint the balast box any ways, but for now, I just have to put up with the stinch of burnt wire....man that stinks!!! :-D :-D :-D
