Anyone here has a large angel - namely the emperor angel - in your reef tank? does it nip at your corals - and what kind of corals it will most likely to nip at? I'd like to have that angel in my reef tank! In your answer please list the corals you have and how long you have the angel in the tank.
Thanks

You are taking a change with your corals, sofites, sps, clams if you introduce any of the angels into your reef tank. Most of them will take a nibble at most of your inverts. Two of the the best choices for a reef are the Lamarck's and Blackspot Angelfish. But you would be better not taking a chance with any angels, if you want to keep corals.

I have a regal angel now going on 4 years that was great for about 3 of those years. He did delevoped a taste for meaty corals. He does leave all clams, soft, mushrooms and sps coral alone. I also have a scribble angel that leaves everything alone. I also feed them very well!

I got a Majestic angel in my tank for 3 years now. He is beautiful and does not bother my SPS or Clams.
