Looks kind of like a tubastrea species polyp (sun coral) to me. I've seen some like it in pics people got as hitchikers from tampa bay saltwater rock also.

Yep, orange tubastrea. Commonly known as the sun coral. It may be a picture of Ron Blakers. I don't think I put in any of mine.
