Anyone have any experience with this calcium reactor? I know a guy that is selling a brand new setup with tank and regulator for about $100 less than retail and I'm debating on whether to buy it or not.
Anyone, please let me know ASAP! Thanks! :D

Chris,
I don't have any idea how good a unit it is or not. I too would be interested in any information on the unit from the members. I looks like a good piece of equipment.
Good luck on the deal!

Hey guys,
I brought one of these units (1502) I kept it for a week and sold it. I tried everything to get the unit to work with no luck. It is a nice package but I had no luck. I just could not get the unit dialed in.

Ken,
If your are interested I have a dual My ReefCreation calcium reactor which is now sitting! It is sitting because it is overkill for my tank out in the garage and is to big for my tank inside the house. The footprint is 14x14 and with 3 dual PFO ballasts, kalkreactor and refug. there is NO room!

Jim - how much are looking to get for your calcium reactor? Are you really sure you want to get rid of it? I haven't gotten one yet and have heard nothing but good things about My Reef Creation products. Let me know, thanks! :D

Chris,
Yes It is just sitting now I unhook it in the garage. My ReefCreation products are top notch. It comes with a eheim pump, a small maxijet powerhead, blueline electronic regulator and co2 tank.
It is less than a year old let me see what I paid for it and will get back.

Well Jim I guess I'll just have to get in line and ask how much are you asking? 14 x 14 is a rather large footprint.
thanks

What method did you use to feed the Korallin reactor? Gravity from the main tank, suction from the sump? Pump?

I think Troy bought Vinh's Korallin reactor; he loves it. I've heard good thing s about them and PM reactors. But, if you can wait a a bit, I would advise you to take the next MACO DIY calcium reactor course. I did, and my finished reactor is terrific. Plus, you really learn about working with acrylic, which in this hobby is useful.

My ReefCreation dual calcium reactor with blue line reg and built in bubble counter also includes maxijet 400 powerhead (mention and ehiem) but a mag pump is the main supplier. fill with media and a 5 or 15 pound tank $300.00

the korallin calcium reactor takes about 7 to 9 days to break in. the situation is that the valve it comes with has an oil residue on the metal that needs to work out. I have been told that this residue will never make it into the water. Start it out at 6 bubbles per minute then adjust daily for one week. After that, adjust according to your load.

Wow, this is an old thread! If anyone is interested, I have the 3002 unit and finally did get it adjusted - but it took some "ignoring" of the instructions!
