Just wanted to thank Jim for his wonderful hospitality and educational meeting. My beautiful baby maxima is already settled in and looking great. Beautiful under my lights. Thanks for the pizza also. Hope you won't have to have it for dinner for a few nights! Great raffle items (thanks to the donators) & an outstanding 240 gal reef. It was also nice connecting some more faces with names...
Thanks for taking the time out to go over the care of the clam. It's obvious you care about your animals...
Great host!

Jim -
Thanks for being such a wonderful host and working so hard to get the great raffle items for this meeting. And the pizza was great! Your support of MAAST is invaluable and very much appreciated. I have found that meeting people like you is one of the greatest aspects of this fascinating hobby of ours. I also have to say that your tank was more impressive than I had imagined from the desriptions of it and it gives me somthing to aspire to! Can't wait to get my gold maxima clam in my tank!
Thanks!

Yes, I have to add my thanks also Jim. Thank you for answering all my questions about getting the resale license and letting us see Nana. What a wonderful dog and so perky for her age :) This was also my first MAAST meeting and won't be my last. The information you gave was very educational and I am looking forward to your presentation at the MARSH meeting in the future.

Jim,
I can't say enough about how impressive your tank setups are. We all enjoyed the meeting, and i think everyone got a lot out of it as well.
Thanks for taking the time to teach. This hobby needs more of that. Of course, before you teach you have to learn & study; thanks for becoming an expert on clams that we can all benefit from.
Enjoyed your hospitality; thanks for opening your home.

Well, since I hang around you all the time I guess I don't need to tell you Jim. It sounds as if the meeting was a great success for everyone that attended! I had a great time again. Who knows, I may have a meeting at my house, again, one of these days. The tank looks better everytime I see it. Thanks Jim.

As always, I had a great time being there again Jim.
Tank looks good. I like the lights this way. A nice and even color to the tank.
Fish are doing great. I think they like not being in the sump :)

Jim,
Awesome tank and meeting, I appreciate you hosting this.
I really like those 400W lights on your main tank, maybe when my two radiums go out I might have to try those XM's.

Everyone,
I had a GREAT time---THANK YOU all! I am excited about how this club is coming together. To all my fellow club memebers and future members what an AWESOME group you are. I enjoyed meeting and being around everyone! I think there is something very special about people with reef tanks. The greatest part for me was all the new friends!
Thank you again!

Its always a good thing when you get a bunch of people together with a common interest, thats what makes the confusion make sense. This hobby can be trying to say the least, information equals education. Its gatherings like this that make people realise the importance of what it takes to achieve our goals as far as reef keeping. And really, if you think about it, its all about dedication to an obsession... life is good...
Thanks Jim....

Jim, Tim and all. Had much fun seeing your tank and learning a little more about clams. Was fun for me to put a face to all these names on the board and see how off I was when I had a mental picture of people in my head.
Jim - my two squamosa's are about midway up on my rockwork - one has already got his byssal thread out and attached the other I haven't seen attach but both are open and seem ok. If they don't like where they are will they contract and attempt to move? I've seen clams that can crawl around some with their foot/muscle but those are coldwater clams.

I would also like to chime in on this. It was a long trip, and my dogs were really ready to go out when I got home, but it was all worth it...even without winning in the raffle. I had a great time, and was realy glad to meet all of you that I did.
I would like to thank Jim for the hospitality and for the informative presentation on his tank. The show tank was spectacular and the set up for grow out was equally impressive. I am really pleased with the clams that I bought. They are settling in terrifically.
I look forward to many other meetings in the future, and I hope that I can bet more of our MARSH members to come and attend.
Finally, I am looking forward to Jim coming to Houston to present to MARSH. The logistics have to be worked out, but we are shooting for the first weekend in June. I hope that some of the MAAST group will come to town for this and to meet some of our members in their natural habitat ;)

I would also like to thank Jim for hosting the meeting for the group. This was my first meeting, and I dont think there could be a better first meeting to attend. It was great meeting everyone and chatting with them, I only wish more people would have also put their screen names on their badges, as it would have been easier to remember who they all are on the boards. I would also like to say thanks for the great door prizes, as I won a couple of them, and this made the meeting even better!!
Again,
Thanks Jim,
It was great!!!
