well I want to make my 10g a refugium for my 37g holding tank,
but is it safe to use the water in the 10 and mix it with the 37's water,
It dose not sound right but just checking before I make a big no no,

Red, I would say there is no difinitive answer to that. My advice would be to make sure all the parameters in the 10g water are essentially the same as the 37g water (i.e. salinity, pH, KH etc...)

I set up a 10g refugium for my 55g tank...

I set it up as an "experiment" and it is going GREAT!!! I got a handful of algae from a MAThueson and bought a low wattage plant light from my LFS... My 55g doesnt have any "bad" algae in it... And the algae in the refugium is going NUTS!!!

I can let you know what I did if you are interested...
