My old flower anemone would try to eat anything that it can touch. Any fishes that are not strong enough to escape will be eaten. I've seen my flower try to eat:
*Sargassum algae (and peoples say nothing will eat sargussum.)
*Plastic material
*Metal material
*Snails
*My fingers (It scared me the first few times.)
*Anything that it can grab ahold of and put into it's mouth.
*My clown fishes got grabbed several times, but they managed to jump free from the flower.

Vinh,
Your old flower is my new flower. He is something else. NONE of my fish go near him! I feed him small starfish and brittleworms and hotdogs.

LOL
Some of my fishes sleep walk at night. They have to wake up the hard way when they find themself attached to the sticky flower. Booink! I have never seen them successfully catch and eat any live fishes. But I put a big ol dead Bangai fish in there, and it disappaer in less then 10 second.

When I had mine, I didn't really feed it much. It was growing fast enough by itself already.

How light hungry are these? I would like to find a few tankmates for my peacock mantis that won't end up on the menu. I moved her to a 20 gallon acrylic hex tank a few weeks back which is looking real empty.

well I've been feeding it a block of brine shrimp to see how big it will get as fast as I can but from what I've been reading they are a light eater like a small fish every 4-5 days only small thing no main menu, or just not to big,

Mine will catch some live brine when I feed that, usually once or twice a week, but other than that, I have never fed it anything, other than a few stray flakes that it happens to catch. As for light, I dont believe they care for light much, when I got mine, it was out front, and moved to the back of my tank, under the rocks. when I moved everything over to my 44, I put it toward the bottom, and it moved into the rocks again. I moved a couple rocks so that I could at least see it, and it hasnt moved, and is opening up real nice. I currently only have 45w of NO flourescents, but in a day or two, I will be installing a 400W 10K MH and a couple actintics. I'll see how it does, if it moves again or not.
BTW, what types of anemones will a Maroon clown host in? Anything besides a BTA, and anyone have one for a good price?
