Decide what you want to do with tank first of all. Just fish? Fish and Invertebrates? Want to keep low maintenance corals? Full blown reef tank? Compatibility with other fish and invertebrates is the first thing you need to consider. If you want a particular species then you may have to build the rest of your stock around it.

I would not keep either in a 120 but two of my favorites are Imperator Angel and Sohal Tang. If you are planning on adding something as a centerpiece fish do your homework and make sure you have the space needed and will be able to live with the fishes incompatibilities with other species.

If you want unique, hardy and fairly low maintenance look at a frogfish/anglerfish possibly (cannot keep with any smaller fishes or crustacea), how about a dragon wrasse for a fish only type tank? Puffers have great personalities (entertaining but not always safe for tankmates) and many would be fine in a 120.

Once again fishing for opinions is fine but the best advice is read read read and then read some more.

Ya I'm gonna go with a full blown reef tank with fish, but I just want to know about so fish that they wont have at the LFS, and order it, with the 120g I'm getting a purple tang, marine betta, and clarkii clown, with some soft coral too, so I plan to add lots of soft coral and after I read more about hard corals, after about 6-7 months I try a few of them,

Harlequin Tusks are always cool, but they do like some inverts...

Check out some info from some Scott Michaels books, he is into the really unique and unusual fish.
