On the leather corals that we fragged at the last meeting, how long does it take them to attach to their base. :?

I pick up a pizza slice of the yellow leather. I didn't try to attach mine. It float off into the great beyond. I though that I had lost it. Today, I found it poking out from a dark cave. It had already attached on it own. It's about two inches tall. It look almost like a mini leather, with head and stalk. Well, I rip it out from under the dark cave. There's still some LR attached to the base. I epoxy it to an area of high current. It's looking kind of twisted now that I rip it out from a rock. It's bent over in half. I'll take a picture when it stand back up.

Mine looks great some days, polyps extended, looking beautiful! Other days... meh, not so good. It has not started a base yet. :(

Most leather will have attached and began to grow a base at 1-3 weeks. Sometimes they will tumble around and get a bunch of small pieces of rubble attached to them at which time you can superglue the rubble part to a big rock and move them to an area of better current and light for faster growth and attachments.
