Just ordered a 45# box of "Hand Picked Premium Fiji" from LiveAquaria.com for $99 (+50 2day s/h) on Wednesday. Should get it today. Will let everyone know the quality. Customer service is AWESOME. 8am-8pm 7day a week 800# customer service. Also ordered a 50gal critter pkg for my brother for $89 (free o/n). Got a color catalog from them yesterday... I spent 3hours looking/reading it.

Alright.... I got charged for 45 lbs of Fiji and got 45+ lbs of Deepwater Tonga... Oh well, can't complain... Rocks were AWESOME. Great colors. Good size. I got 2 huge rocks, 2 big, about 5-6 medium and a lot of small frags (probably from shipping). Filled my 55 gal nicely. Package came wrapped good, lots of moisture and rocks were clean. I WILL be ordering from them again.... My brother should get his cleaner pkg tomorrow. Ill see how that comes out...

I ordered my clean-up packages from them when I first started my 58. Everything was packaged well and no complaints. I think they get their live rock from Walt Smith which is also sold by other places as well so that's hard for them to screw up. I'm still leary about ordering and fish or corals from them, I've read about to many problems on Reef Central.

Guys all of our livestock is collected by a handfull of collectors, Walt being one of them. It is how it is handled from point A to point C that we need to be concerned with. Usually if you pick up rock and livestock on Monday you will get the best. Most shipments to the wholesalers come in from Thurs-Sunday. If you get livestock on Tuesday-Friday you will probably get the scraps. Rock almost always comes in on the weekends from the wholesalers I use so it is best bought on Monday, or you will get older rock and more die off. It is still the same high quality rock just a longer cure time. $3.00 a lb is a good price.

Ok... My brother received his package from LiveAquaria.com (eTropicals.com)... I ordered him the 50+ Crabby Package for $89 w/ free O/N... It was sent last night about 6pm... He got it at 10am and he said the critters were in GREAT shape... He said they were VERY lively and went to work the minute he put 'em in the tank... Both my live rock and his critter package came w/ a sheet of "acclimation" instructions and great packaging... Tim M. said that "it all comes a handful of collectors", but to me, if the service is good and your NOT getting a bunch of junk, then thats the company for me.... Last thing I want is a bunch of "know-it-alls" on the other end of the phone and a box full of concrete slab.... I have dealt with companies like this in the past and this was definitely not one of them... So, in my opinion (if it matters), they did good.... :P I highly recommend them.... :P

Right that is exactly what I am saying! It is collected from a handful, then passed out the the wholesalers which then pass it out to the retailer. ALOT can happen to your livestock from point A to point D. Sounds like live aquaria is a responsible company. Usually the wholesalers will take fairly good care or they will be out of customers quick. It is all the retailers, online or LFS, that usually don't acclimate or ship right. Anyway, there are some really good online stores out there. The main thing is customer support and quality livestock, which sounds like LiveAquaria has both.
