Josh-

Are you familiar, or have you heard anything about the Korallin reactor C-1502? I have had my eye on this calcium reactor for a while now at Premium-

Troy I say you just go ahead and buy two and we'll both test them out and form our own opinions. :-o

Josh, I sent you a pm with the same message, but wanted to make sure you got my adds before you placed the order.......Can you add the book "Corals: A quick Reference Guide" by Julian Sprung to my order? All in, my order now is:

-Salifert Alk/kh test Kit
-(2) 7.00 Pinpoint Calibration Fluid packets
-(2) 10.00 Pinpoint Calibration Fluid packets
-Julian Sprung book

Let me know if you get all of this in the order. Thanks

I'm not sure how much the calibration packets are, but Vinh ordered a bunch of them and you may be able to get them cheaper from him?

Here's the relevant part of the email he sent out...

I ordered some extra calibration solution packages at $2 per 2 packages.

You need two packages( ph of 7 and ph of 10) for each calibration.

I ordered 28 package of calibration solution. 14 packages have already been claimed, leaving 14 packages unclaimed.

Josh, instead of the Julian Sprung book, get me "Aquarium Corals" by Eric Borneman.

Troy,
I have two of these reactor.
Last August, I sold one of them to this guy:

http://www.mylittleocean.com/

He have a big 175 gallon Bowfront and 30 gallon sump.

You should email him and ask him how it's working out. It's not necessary, but he's using a pinpoint pH Controller to run the reactor.

Do they want a new one or one that froze up after 3 days? I have lots of frozen burnt up one that have died in less than 6 months.

I use a Mag 5, or 7 to mix my saltwater in that Rubbermaid trashcan. YOu can Rig up a Venturi to the Mag pump to aerate your saltwater mix too.

AFter the water has been mixed of a couple of days. I use the Mag to pump water straight into my tank during a water change.

What's the point of waiting 2 days to add water?

I have to agree with you Josh. I have a rio 600 that made it for at least 3 days before frying.

Oh yeh, I almost forgot about the rio 90 that died in the first week of use also. I used to love Rio, Jim and I both, but They have turned out to be a terrible pump in the last couple years, and they are not thermally protected so they WILL shock the hell out of your tank when they go bad. Good luck guys.
