Those of us that checked out Petland a few months ago when Jimmy was working there remember him posting on the Yahoo club site and talking about improving things there. Turns out the owner cared more about selling all those puppy's instead of improving things in the fish section and Jimmy left.

This evening I ventured out in the fog and mist to Polly's Pet Shop on Pat Booker Rd. and was pleased to find out he is now at Polly's and sounds enthusiastic about working there. I shop there occassionally and have good experiences so I'm sure it will only get better now. The quality is good and prices are very fair on livestock. They are hoping to start brining in a few more corals and different kinds of fish as well. I told Jimmy about the move to MAAST and how it has really improved and grown in a short time. Hopefully, he will join in soon and keep us posted on things.

P.S. - I got a pretty Flame Angel there for a good price for a LFS. Anyone interested in a Sebae anemone and matching Sebae clownfish should check them out. They have two sets of them and they look really cool.

Cool... I wondered where he went. If he shows up here, maybe we can get him to talk to management there to get our flyers posted.

Chris -

I talked with him for awhile and things sound good. He has only been there for a week and they are already letting him place the order for the saltwater livestock. He has not gotten that much into corals, but is looking to learn as much as he can about them. I think if he gets on the website and/or a few more of us talk to him, they would have no problem posting a flyer.

Gene - I have always been more of a fish person that a coral person, but am slowly learning more about corals. Flame angels have always been my most favorite fish as I think they are very beautiful. I know some people say they will nip at corals and I have been advised by a friend in the trade not to get one, but I can't resist! I have seen pics of tanks with beautiful corals and they have flame angels in them so I think it can be done.

Oh it can be done, but you have to be ready to take the chance. It is a gamble. Jim Norris of tank-U has angels in his reef and it is loaded with corals and very expensive clams. Actually one of his gigas would probably eat the rascals if they went after him....LOL...

My flame nips at EVERYTHING, but we love her so much she can stay and have her fun! Actually, she seems to like (or dislike I might say) one of my leathers. Weird, but if she wants to play.... :?
