Anyone else want anything from this place?
http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/brineshrimpproducts.htm
I'm going to order Sunday night so it'll ship out Monday and arrive Wednesday. Freeze dried stuff would be a bad idea for 2-day delivery so don't ask for that.
Let me know what you want and we'll split shipping costs.
Chris ;)

Well... adding that item to the list of stuff I want didn't change the shipping price. It's coming to $21.31 for 2nd day delivery.... so maybe add just $2-3 or so?

Hey Vinh... I was going to PayPal you that remaining $16 I owe you but i'll just pay for the Tahitian blend and we'll be even... cool? 8)
Ben... check here (http://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/brineshrimpproduct4.htm#paste) :P The Tahitian blend is a mix of all three.
Troy: You have more experience with these products than me, do the pastes have a shelf life if frozen? I was going to order the 125ml but if not I could just spend a few $ extra and go larger.

Chris.... I'm here!!!!!! :-D :-D
Ben, the nannochloropsis is the paste I gave you the other night when you were over, that is what I primarily feed my clams, because it is such a small microalgae. This also works well for keeping and maintaining a big population of mysis shrimp. This is the primary algae to add to the tank, because so much of the micro fauna in the reef thrive on it.
The product only has a frozen life of 6 to 8 months. After this time it will begin to loose its nutritional value. What I do is add nanno daily and add Tahitian blend with the food I feed the fish with, along with decapsulated brineshrimp. And I feed very heavily!!!!

IMO the decapsulated brine shrimp from Brine Shrimp Direct is terrific to feed your sps and lps and most importantly your sand bed. It will feed almost every type of coral in your tank. I never truly understood the importance of feeding alot to a reef, but since I've done that it has made all the difference in the world.
PS if anyone would like to try some decapsulated brine shrimp I've got some they can have.... Give me a BUZZ!!!

Hey guys,
I didn't notice this (I was sick during the week and wasn't thinking straight) but the bottles of Tahitian blend we all got were 35 ml and Josh just reminded me that we were paying for 125ml bottles.
I'm attempting to email BSD tonight, and i'll give them a call tomorrow if anyone is there to get this straightened out.
Sorry guys :(

Yeah, I thought something was off about it as I could have sworn it was 125 or 135 when we ordered not 35. I couldn't remember what it was for sure so I didn't bring it up at the meeting. Hopefully they will figure it out. I think everyone that got the wrong size needs to not open the bottles incase the company wants to exchange them back.

It's weird I didn't even give it a second thought til Josh mentioned something. I wish someone would have told me earlier at the meeting... I could have just not passed them out.
Ahh well.. we'll see what BSD has to say, hopefully they don't give me any problems.

How do I use the Tahitian Blend? Should I mix it up into a larger dosage, or should I just drip it into the main tank?

Just mix it in with your food before you drop it into the tank.
BSD is shipping me 3 bottles of the 125ml since they messed up.... so if I get back the 35ml bottles that'll count as the 4th (mine) and i'll either drop off or you guys can pick yours up. :?
Remember that it's a concentrated amount so don't overdose.
Chris

Nah they only offered 3 with free shipping. Bottle size doesn't matter to me, I can always use them later and fill them with other stuff. :P
I'll let you guys know when they come in.

Those stingy peoples.
I need to get in touch with Mike to buy something from him. But other then that, I don't know when we'll ever meet up again. How about I'll just use this small bottle, and when if we ever meet up again, I'll use the bigger bottle to refill this smaller bottle?
TexasState

That would be great, but that sound like a lot of trouble for you guys to swap back and forth. (Picking up a bottle from Chris, dropping off a bottle from me, picking a bottle up from me, then dropping off a bottle with Chris.)

Chris,
On a side note,
I think they mounted about 30 frags during the meeting. Did we used up all your ex-live rock for the frag fest? PLease let me know if you need to restock on small live rock.
Chris
Mon, 20th Jan 2003, 10:28 PM
Nah it was just a good sized piece of base rock that I used a screw driver and a hammer on to chisel into smaller pieces. Nothing i'm going to miss.
If Josh isn't able to head over there, I can probably come by some time soon.... I need to spend this week finishing my plumbing then cleaning my house. :P
