hey gang..im debating on yet another adventure. Since Im in school i spend alot of time at my computer desk and need something else to lookat besides a screen. I wanna set up a 2.5 gallon picoreef. Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions?? ;)

I haven't done a 2.5 but i've done two 10's and a 7G. In fact i'm setting up my 7G again.

Something that small, you're pretty much limited to shrimp as your largest inhabitant. www.nano-reef.com (http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php) is a pretty good place to hang out and see other people's nano tanks.

ive been at that site alot checking it out. i was just gonna put some shrooms, polyps in the 2.5 and a shrimp..just something different to look at besides books and a screen. maybe some caulerpa

feather caulerpa works great as it's not such a pain to remove like grape can be. If you have the room to shove it somewhere while still letting it get light the chaetomorpha works well too.

I had a paired up rainfordi's goby with a pistol shrimp until I gave them to my g/f for her 12G tank. Now comes the challenge of getting them back from her :o

Reefdude,

I have an Eclipse System 3 that I have been looking to sell. I used it for the same purpose, except I had it at my office. When I changed jobs, I put all the livestock in my at home reef and never set it back up. Let me know if you are interested. It is almost like new since it was only up and running for about 4 months.

How much are you asking for it?? did you happen to upgrade the lighting at all??

I didn't upgrade the lighting or anything. It is as is off the shelf. I'll sell it for $20. I paid about $40.
