and yes. That's why I don't buy the Lucky 7. There might be an extra bump/nub on your impeller. Sand that off and there might be less chatter.

Mine hum a little but I don't mind. They give good service and last a long time. I run a couple Dolphin 3000's on some of my stuff also, they are really quiet and smooth, but cost a lot more.

I have a pair of them and hung mine from the pvc returning to the tank so they dont touch anything that helped alot. Along with foam on the pvc pipe where it touches the tank.
