From what I understand he moved to Ca. He was in SA not New Braunfels. He had some very nice stuff.
This is what I have heard. No first hand information. I do have a couple orange and red montipora's that came from him, or her?

I have heard very good stuff about him. I just wish I could have made it down to meet him before he left.

Me and John Moffett go way back.
He has moved to Arizona.
We stay in touch. Take all the gossip with a grain of salt....hmmmmm
God I hate that cliche...John ran a first class operation.

Several of my colonies came from John and perhaps the montipora many of you recieved was from the large colony I gave to him....

I went to John`s operation many times and I never say a single flatworm....which BTW I cant say for a cetain LFS on Bandera Road...

Got my first Xenia stalk and a few others from John a while back. He actually lived less than or about a mile from me. He had a really nice setup...

Heard nothing but first class customer service about him from his customers as well...

It was a shame to see him go...

He lived real close to me to. I was hoping to purchase stuff from him to. Real shame

I had been over to John's house quite a few times to make purchases. He is a great guy. His customer service was unmatched and he was always concerned with my success. I have several frags from him and he gave me some Xenia and macroalgae which have grown like crazy. Barry from Clams Direct is friends with him, so I check in with him every now and then to find out what John is up to. Apparently, he is going to get something going pretty soon.

I was living in Dallas and visted SA on business several times. Found LSC online and visited John at home. I was very surprised he was willing to spend so much time showing me his setup and shooting the bull.

He had great livestock, a great setup, unbelievable prices, and outstanding customer service. I picked up 15-20 SPS frags over a few months, and all were very healthy (I even failed to kill most of them ;)

A year or so later I moved to SA, looked him up, and learned of his move to AZ. ****, now I'm gonna have to pay shipping.

I don't normally pitch people's businesses, but I guess this is the forum....

IMHO, you should try him out when he re-surfaces. Here's the most important reason: we should be supporting quality product and service, especially when it's supported by good knowledge and a free willingness to teach others. Would I pay a little more to do business with LSC? You bet.

John - just don't go raising your prices.

I would wait. It takes time to grow out good stock and he will be selling wild caught for a while until he gets a good base up and running. Unless, of course, he is running a good deal.

I have known John for years and he is a first class guy. He did move to AZ and will be setting up a store front and online store. He knows his SPS and when he was in San Antonio I visited him and he had a great operations and certainly knows his product. John still has a web site .

John,
Hello! I never have had a chance to meet you but have heard great things about you and your love of corals. Reading your post (story) brought flashbacks of past wars I was engaged in. I have been following your website and see it coming along. Am I right in thinking you now have the EQ up and ready to grow out frags???? If so what I like to do as a MAAST member is ship you frags of every coral in my tank? This will amount to about 35 to 40 coral frags. As other members can state they are VERY colorful! And grow really FAST!
You are a MAAST sponsor. And because of this I would like to help.
But the catch is I would like you to stay involved in MAAST by sharing your knowledge with us members?????

I'll send frags also with Jims if I can find something we don't share. Glad you are back at it! This was a pretty old post and a little too much personal info was shared, but I am glad you are out of a bad situation. I have been there, not like you, but lost the battle with my X. Life is good now though!

If you do it near the 91 and 10 (Corona), I'll buy! My mom owns the best Italian restaurant in L.A. "Villa Amalfi"
