shrimp for the 10

hey guys whats up?? I have a spare 10 gallon laying around and I was thinking about putting two harlequin shrimp in there and a few pounds of live rock. Would this be doable??? Also since they eat stars how filthy would the water get...would I have to put a skimmer on a tank that small??

your very limited on filtration and water quality on a tank that small. i have a temporary 10 set up until i get my 75 up again,,and it is a pain in the but.... however with enough filtration, lighting, and maybe a hang on skimmer. it may work

I have a ten gallon with a 402 power head, ten lbs of LR, some sand, mushrooms, 2 green chromis, and one peppermint shrimp. No filter just water changes. It has been running for a couple years, growing coralline just fine with 20% water changes. LR is a filter. You could do the two shrimp easily as long as you do your water changes.

tim, i have almost the same setup in my 10 gal, 802 powerhead, mushrooms, clowns, anemone, couple of sps, just a pain in the but.. to me
