imo, its only not that important if it doesn't fluctuate more than 3 degrees in a 12hour period..... usually a fan across the tank or sump on a timer is sufficient.....

I have three 110V computer fans siliconed on the top end of my tank. They are on a Ranco temperature controller.
They blew a "pocket" of air between water and halide pendants.
I keep the room AC at 79 and tank stays 8o even with three 400 watt halides.

just wanted to say wow! you sure have a nice looking tank. some the corals in there are looking like monsters, i can just imagine how big they actually are when you're seeing them up close. if you are ever up for maybe giving me tour of your tank or having frags that you want to trade or sell let me know.
