I am in the process of getting information from Sea World San Antonio.
We can get a behind the scene tour of the filtration and lighting techniques
used on the aquatic life there. Cost would be roughly $15 per person. I'd need a head count for interested people. We need 15 min. If you are interested please let me know.
Thanks,
Tim

Awesome Tim!

Just curious though... what about members who have a membership at SeaWorld, is the $15 supposed to cover entrance fee and we get in free or is it part of the deal for everyone and you have to pay?

I'm definately going if you can pull this off.

:-D

I'm not sure they just told me it would be close to $15 and we had to have a minimum of 15 people going to do it. I have also posted it to Austin Reef Keepers and have gotten some response already. I am willing to bet we will be going.

Tim,, let me know if you need any help setting this up.. i know the director of aquariums over there and have already gotten a personal behind the scenes tour of their facility while it was closed.... i think everyone will be quite supprised at how "low tech" they are... but it is a neat experience all the same...

How do you know him? Are you friends with him or just by going over to drop off the clam. Can you run us a better deal? I can always use help. We need 15 people to go, I have 3, about 4 from Austin reef keepers, and a couple so far from SA. So we have about 9 people wanting to go so far. Did you have to pay for parking also? I guess not if it was closed. That would be better for us probably. Less hassle..

Tim ,, i met him through email correspondence. i parked in the employee parking and we went straight to the aquarium through the back of the park he drove us up in his truck, i didn'[t pay anything.. but i might be able to get us in the back way and save us a bit of money on parking... i will send him an email and see what i can come up with

Man i'm surprised more people haven't chimed in with any interest. What's the total count so far Tim? I can't change my vote but my girlfriend will more than likely end up coming with me so raise it by 1. :?

I am hoping morning or early afternoon. Once we get enough people interested then we can set up time and date for sure.

We are going to have to shoot for another date that will be good for more people. We don't have enough interest for the 23rd. Maybe early December would work better. We can do this tour all year all we have to do is make the reservations.

Bummer... what about December 7th(Sat) or 8th(Sun)? Anyone able to clear their schedule for that date?
