Today I visited the PetsMart at 281/Bitters and found they had Instant Ocean 200gallon Salt mix for $32.99! A week ago I saw a thread on Reef Central where people had found it for about half that at a few stores but I checked the stores at 410/Walzem and at the Forum and it was regular price at like $49. If you need salt you might want to call around to the stores.

Still have to figure a way to mount the VHO's again... then I get to test my plumbing.

Don't your endcap come w/ mounting bracket. Those are a pain to use, espcially on long bulbs. Easiest way is to build your own acrylic mounting bracket.

They come with mounting brackets but since they need to be a few inches higher off the canopy I'm having to build a custom made bracket. So far it's coming along well. :)

Still using the oven. HomeDepot and Lowes don't have any heat strips(or at least the people I asked didn't know where they were).

I messed up on one today but that was due to poor measurement. Had a bunch of errands to run today so I didn't work on it too much.

Ben came over though to pick up some Caulerpa and check out the progress.

Have you put any water in that tank yet? I'll say one thing I sure admire you not being in a hurry. I always throw them together and then make changes.

Okay last post for the night.

No water yet. Don't plan to for a while either. Once I find a steady source of income to prepare for the monster electric bill then i'll be ready with it.

For now i'm just stocking up on things I can have like base rock and such. The waiting makes me really appreciate the refugium too, it at least gives me something nice to look at without requiring too much power.

My favorites are still the amphipods. :)
